Talk Nerdy To Me

One of the best parts about having an older sister is being able to wear their clothes. Since Kaia and Taylar are so far apart in age, they don't exactly wear the same size. Enter in the glamorous world of accessories! Kaia just loves wearing her older sister's glasses, mustaches necklace, and fedora hats. It sure is fun being a girl! And it's even more fun to be a girl in nerd glasses with a mustache, no? Wow times sure have changed! Heh. (photos taken on my iPhone and edited in Instagram.)

If you love these glasses as much as we do...
Hello Kitty Nerd Glasses from Sidecca.
(I couldn't find them online, but we bought them at the store in the Burbank Mall.)

Highly Inappropriate Parenting

So these photos are probably totally inappropriate, but they made me Laugh. Out. Loud!
I hope they do the same for you on this Monday!

Back to School

Do you ever have a moment where you want to stop time and stay there forever?

I know that most kids started school back in September, but for our youngest, she had her first day last week. She will be 5 next year and starting Kindergarten, so we thought that it would be most beneficial to her education if she went to pre-k. So she's back in school and couldn't be happier. The toughest part is getting her up in the mornings, because she is definitely is a night owl. (like her mama - ahem) We got her a new backpack (Disney - Jessie from Toy Story) and she was super excited about it, the smile says it all. I want to remember this face, this smile, this moment FOREVER!!!

So Fresh and So Clean

Fresh out of the bath. Nice and relaxed. All warm and cozy.
Wrapped up in a towel like my little burrito baby.
Serious. Shy. Studying. Silly. Sad. Smiling.
From Zero to Sixty in in 6 seconds flat... in 6 photos.
She's definitely a female, all the way!

Egg Dyeing 101

Every year we get together at my GRANDMA'S HOUSE, (Kaia's Great Grandmother) and do the traditional Easter activities. EASTER EGG HUNTS and Dyeing the Eggs are my very favorite things, and now that the girl is old enough... She is TOTALLY loving it. And I am totally loving being able to do all of these things with her. These are the moments that even if she doesn't remember forever, I know I will. Forever and Ever and Ever.

Flashback Friday: Green Blanket

It's the end of the week again peeps... And time for Flashback Friday at Fresh Angeles.
Look at my little Cover Girl at 5 months old. Doing her boudoir photos... lol.
Wrapped in a green ELLABALOU Blanket given to us by Kerri-Lynne.
Check out her hair too, (bottom right) it's like channeling Elvis!

Flashback Friday: Sunglasses

Here's some photos of my little Fashionista. Circa April 2008. Age 8 months old. To.Die.For

Wordless Wednesday: Cupcakes

It was my Birthday this past Sunday. My husband was working, (FAIL)  so I thought I'd take my girl over to Grandmas house & make cupcakes, one of her very favorite things to do.
Here is Kaia & her G.G. (Great Grandmother) making cupcakes for Mama's Birthday!

Happy Wordless Wednesday!

Target And Easter

We love Target. We shop there at least once a week. But it's usually more like 3-4 times. It's one of the places in this town that is open past 10pm. Our local store is open til 11pm, Thank God! And you know how my child doesn't sleep and all. So after the mall closes, if Kaia is still wide awake (happens more often than not) we hop on over to Target, and do some shopping, playing, browsing, hanging out.

My daughter loves the place with the big bullseye, almost as much as me. Except during any holiday season, then she loves it more then me. She is really getting into doing some shopping of her own. She likes to tell me what to put in the cart, what to take out of the cart, etc.

She was having a blast the other night. She picked out her own Easter basket. Then she proceeded to fill the basket with all sorts of different candy and toys that appealed to her. Let me say, she picked quite a nice selection. But that wasn't all, according to her all of the bunnies and duckies were "hungry" and she was just the one to feed them. She lined them up, (her fav thing to do) and gave each of them their own easter treat. And I think they were happy...

Golden Girl

When the light touches anything... It becomes GOLDEN.

Here's my golden girl.

End of the Year Blues

Well, Kaia's first year of school has officially ended & I really do not know where the time went!?!
Yes, it was only a one day a week class, that lasted about 2 & a half hrs.
And no I never got to just drop her off (it was mommy & me class)
But none the less, it was school for us.
I find myself getting emotional over the whole thing! Great, I'm gonna be a wreck by the time she graduates from High School!
It's just sad to watch your baby grow up! I know she's not even 2 yet, but still....

She had great teachers & made so many little friends! (Autry, Brian, Sonia, Alexander, Rose, Jack, Chloe, Soren, Luna, Erik, Livia & Ben to name just a few) And just as importantly I made some really good friends that made life with my first biological baby easier. The people who you really want to talk to about everything you are going through in the first year of your child's life, is another mother who is going through the exact same thing!! There is something so comforting about suffering the sleepless nights together... I guess that's the whole misery loves company thing? I learned a lot from these women over the past year & I am very grateful.

One of the mommies put a end of the year gift together for our teachers. We each had to make a page with photos & things as a special token for them to remember our children by. It turned out so lovely, I wish I could have a copy of the book! LOL!
So here is the page I made for Kaia.

Something extra special is I will always remember her 1st day of class was on her 1st Birthday, August 28, 2008.

Foot Fetish

Call it a Foot Fetish of mine, but I love taking pictures of baby feet.
And when it comes to my girl, I'm even more smitten with the photos.
The fact that she's a go-go-go toddler, she hardly stays still long enough for me to shoot her without a blur.
I have to find moments of stillness aka naptime to uncover her little piggies.

I LOVE these feet. I LOVE these toes.

Happy LOVE Thursday.

Laughter Is The Best Medicine

HAVE YOU HAD YOUR DAILY DOSE YET?

After being sick for about a week, and one trip to the emergency room, one diagnosis of Croup, and one grumpy baby...
It's so nice to see the child coming back to life that I know & love.
And the laughter is helping in the healing process! For all of us...
