Good Boy Badge!

We visited my Dad's house recently & he has an adorable Golden Retriever named BADGE.

He's one of the sweetest dogs. He just sits there while Kaia tries to ride him like a horse. I shot some pictures of him that I think are TOO CUTE!

GOOD BOY BADGE!!!

Get Fit With Got Milk?

I feel bad for my body. I am fat. Obese. Morbidly obese even, if you go by some weight charts. I have put on so much weight that even a simple task such as climbing stairs gets me out of breath.

With no exercise in my routine, I have stressed not only my body but also my heart. I have taken this amazingly well-run machine and dumped garbage into it. I eat fast food more often than not. I drink sodas more than I drink water. And at most meals, I eat until I am stuffed. I have taken my body for granted. If my body and I were in a relationship, it would have left me a long time ago for someone else; someone who appreciated it. I have trashed my miracle. And as I look all around me — at the mall, the grocery store, amusement parks — it appears that millions of other Americans are doing the same thing.

I have always struggled with my weight. Early on, my family labeled me a “good eater,” which means I have always eaten a lot. As I look back, I realize how much food played a major role in my family life, as it is with many families. When there was something to celebrate, we went out to eat – birthdays, graduations, raises, anniversaries, etc. If you had a hard day and wanted to cheer up, you went out to a nice restaurant, enjoyed a hearty meal and ended with dessert. It always made me feel better.

I took it even further by using food as a comforter, something to do while I was bored, nervous, and even sad. With the weight gain came something even worse than being fat: self- loathing. That is even harder to lose than the weight. For me it has gotten so bad, that I realize I have only two photos of my daughter and I together. That’s two pictures in the three years of her life. That was one (of many) big wake up calls for me. But it’s the one that has prompted me to make a change for the better...

Disney's World of Color... MUST SEE!!!

"The world is a carousel of color,
Wonderful, wonderful color.
The world is a carousel of color,
History, comedy, fantasy,
There’s drama and mirth,
There’s old mother earth
With all of her secrets to see.
"

-The Wonderful World of Color Lyrics

I was more than honored to be asked to attend a viewing of Disney's WORLD of COLOR on the very first night that it was open to the public. Thank you to Michele, you are my hero!

The Hottest Show of Summer is Disney's WORLD of COLOR, by far. As I sat there with my husband watching it (yes we left the kids at home) I was instantly transported to my childhood. Actually it was like taking a journey through my entire life, the life that has been filled with Disney memories. It just makes you realize how big a role Disney has played in my life. Through every year there has been a new movie, a new soundtrack made by Disney. Touching all of our hearts and lives.

We laughed, we cried, we sang along. As each new character showed up, everyone would oooh & ahhh. Some, like us, would cheer when their favorite came up. It was a surreal experience, where the audience sat spellbound & mesmerized! It was an amazing blend of water and fire. Ying and yang. Imagery blasted on the colorful water shooting up to the sky. (The show uses over 1200 fountains, that can shoot water up to 200 feet in the air. AMAZING!) There was something for the young and old. Even my husband said WOW when the Pirates scene came on with all of the Fire! And he's not easy to impress!

Some of my favorite Characters who make an appearance in the show: The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, Wall-E, Aladdin, Pocahontas, The Princess and the Frog, Toy Story, Tinker Bell and UP. That's not even half of them.

It was such an excellent show, I've been dreaming about it ever since... Once you see it, you'll understand what I'm talking about! And if you have been lucky enough, please tell me what your favorite part of the show is! Can't wait to hear.

Mine, was where Eve & Wall-E dance across the starry sky, just like in the movie. That music & that scene got me all teary-eyed! CHILLS!

Here is a couple of minutes that I shot on my Flip, from some of my favorite parts of Disney's WORLD of COLOR Show at California Adventure. (Including Wall-E, Toy Story & UP)

Impossibly Delicious - BSM

When summer comes, it brings along the sunshine, going to the beach, BBQs, family vacations and delicious fruit.

It is also the time for amazing homegrown, sweet tomatoes.
There's nothing like them.
And I'm not even a fan of the tomato, but when you can pick them off of your own plant, still warm from being kissed by the sun all day... IMPOSSIBLY DELIGHTFUL!
